Project Overview

Location: Salem (Lee County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to create safe access points and improve traffic operations along AL-1 (US-431) near Salem, Lee County, Alabama. The proposed project will modify access along US-431 from CR-249 to CR-179. Improvements include changes to median crossovers, removal of turn lanes, and the addition of concrete islands.
No additional right-of-way will be required to implement the project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
