Online Public Involvement: RACR-066-010-004: Intersection Improvement Using Concrete Pavement at AL-10(Camden Bypass) and AL-28(Broad St)

Online Public Involvement: Improve Intersection at AL-10(Camden Bypass) & AL-28(Broad St)

Project Overview

Location: Camden (Wilcox County)

"The proposed project will improve the intersection at AL-10 and AL-28 in Camden, AL.  AL-10 (Camden bypass) is 2-lane highway that carries east-west traffic around the City of Camden.  AL-28 (Broad Street) is a 2-lane highway that runs through the heart of the city.   The two intersect on the north edge of the city limits.  Because of heavy truck traffic, deep rutting has accrued at this intersection.   The purpose of this project is to replace the existing asphalt pavement with concrete pavement. A one-month off-site detour will be required during the construction of this project. The project will also include concrete median improvements, signing, and striping.

Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in Fall 2022.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
