What is the
Teen Driver Safety program?

Motor vehicle crashes remain the number one cause of death among teens in the United States.

In Alabama, ALDOT and other agencies are working to reduce the number of fatalities and crashes on our highways involving 16-19 year old drivers. The month of October is designated as National Teen Drivers Safety Month.

Twice as Many Teens Die on Roads in Summer Months Compared to Other Times of Year. Risky driving behaviors include Speeding, Passengers, Mood, PDAs, and Distractions.
