Project Overview

Location: Prattville (Autauga County)

The proposed project has been revised based on comments received from the Public Involvement Meeting held on 08/15/2023. The project will now end at the intersection of AL-3 (US-31) and Murfee Drive instead of CR-4. All work proposed for the CR-4 intersection has been removed from the project. Please see the Project Overview Map in the 'Project Maps' section for more information. Additionally, a second in-person Public Involvement Meeting has been scheduled; details are below.
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concerns by modifying access on AL-3 (US-31) from CR-4 to CR-75 (McQueen Smith Road) in Prattville, Autauga County. The proposed project will remove redundant access points along the route as well as create a Signalized Green T intersection at US-31 and McQueen Smith Road. More information about a Green T intersection can be found in the Downloads. The road will remain open during construction.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route. Thank you for visiting our website.

ALDOT is conducting online and in-person public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, March 8, 2024.
