Online Public Involvement: AL-216 Resurfacing and Access Management

Project Overview

Location: Tuscaloosa/Brookwood (Tuscaloosa County)

The proposed project is located along AL-216, beginning near the intersection of AL-215 in the City of Tuscaloosa and ending near Lock 17 Road in the City of Brookwood, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The project proposes to resurface AL-216 and will include safety widening and scoring. Additionally, there will be access management measures at the beginning of the project, near the intersection with AL-215. Construction of the proposed project will be done using temporary lane closures, and the road will remain open during construction. No additional right-of-way will be required.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
