Project Overview

Location: Bessemer (Jefferson County)

The proposed project is located along AL-150 in the City of Bessemer, Jefferson County, Alabama. The project will replace the existing bridge on AL-150 over Little Shades Creek with a wider bridge culvert. Additionally, AL-150 will be widened from Morgan Road to Shannon Road and their intersections reconfigured to accommodate the widening. Construction will be phased to allow the roadway to remain open. No additional right-of-way will be required.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
