Project Overview

Location: Florence (Lauderdale County)

The proposed project is located on US-72 in the City of Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama. The project will replace the existing northbound and southbound bridge over AL-20. The new bridges will be raised approximately five (5) feet. US-72 will remain open to traffic during construction. Additional right-of-way will be required to implement this project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
