In Person and Online Public Involvement: Bridge Replacement on AL-1 (US-431)

Project Overview

Location: Eufaula (Barbour County)

The project is located in east Barbour County along US-431. The proposed project will replace existing bridges along US-431 with new bridge structures at two sites. In addition, new turnouts and driveways will be implemented along the project corridor. The project corridor is primarily a four-lane divided route. The project begins just south of Cotton Avenue on US-431 and ends shortly north of the intersection of US-431 and US-82. The roadway will remain open during construction. Additional right-of-way will be necessary to implement this project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
