The proposed project is located on AL-5(US-78A) at Jones Dairy Road in Jasper, Walker County, Alabama. The proposed project involves improvements to extend the existing frontage road, approximately 300 feet to the west, and install two (2) eastbound turn lanes on US-78. Additionally, the frontage road connection to US-78 will be relocated slightly to the east to align with Jones Dairy Road. US-78 at Jones Dairy Road and the Full Moon Barbecue driveways will be modified to right in and right out access.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama
Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
