Project Overview

Location: Athens (Limestone County)

ALDOT is proposing to realign the intersection of US-72 and Clinton Street in Athens, Alabama. Improvements at this intersection will provide a smoother travel experience and will benefit the traveling public by providing a safer intersection for those using US-72 and Clinton Street.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

ALDOT is conducting in-person and online public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Thursday, November 30, 2023.

INVOLVEMENT MEETING

State of Alabama Department of Transportation will hold a Public Involvement Meeting on Project No. ATRP2-42-2022-089.

This informal meeting will be held as follows:
Tuesday, November 14, 2023
5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Athens City Hall
200 W Hobbs St
Athens, AL 35611
