In-Person and Online Public Involvement: Widen US-280 and Replace Pump House Road Bridge

Project Overview

Location: Mountain Brook (Jefferson County)

The proposed project on US-280 begins in the City of Homewood at Hollywood Boulevard an ends at I-459 in the City of Birmingham, a distance of approximately 4 miles. The proposed project will accomplish widening this section of US-280 to four (4) lanes in each direction. The project will also replace the bridge on Pump House Road over US-280. Additional right-of-way will be required to implement the project.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

ALDOT is conducting in-person and online public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before September 2, 2022  Friday, September 9, 2022.
