Online Public Involvement: US-80(AL-8) Intersection Improvements

Project Overview

Location: Lowndesboro (Lowndes County)

In Person Meeting: March 31, 2022 Rescheduled to April 21, 2022

The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety and traffic operations at the intersection of AL-8 (US-80) and AL-97 in Lowndesboro, Alabama. The proposed work will include alterations to the turning movements at the intersection of US-80 and AL-97 as well as changes to the median along US-80. Construction of the project will be completed under normal traffic operations with intermittent lane closures. No right-of-way is anticipated for the proposed project.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
