Project Overview

Location: Alexander City (Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties)

AL-38 (US-280) is a four-lane roadway divided highway located in the City of Dadeville. The proposed project study area is in Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties and is approximately 17 miles on US-280.

The purpose of this project is to provide adequate safety for motorists while maintaining proper access management to all available residences and businesses.

No new right-of-way is required for this project construction. Please see the project information map and video below.

ALDOT is conducting online public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before September 24, 2021.

This will be an Open-House meeting without any formal presentations. Project information, including maps and comment forms, will be available for review. Representatives from the Alabama Department of Transportation and the Design Consultant will be available to answer questions.

Note: Covid-19 Guidelines, as recommended by Governor Ivey and State Health Officer, will be followed.
