ALDOT is proposing to replace the bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad on AL-7/US-11 (Skyland Boulevard East) in Tuscaloosa County. The project is located just south of the AL-215 (University Boulevard East) intersection.
The proposed project will replace the existing 2-lane bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad with a 3-lane bridge consisting of two (2) through lanes and a two-way left-turn lane. A sidewalk will be constructed on the east side of the bridge. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2022 and end during Spring 2023.

ALDOT is conducting online public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before January 14, 2022.
